If you’re the primary operator of the vehicle and have completed an approved defensive driver course, such as the AARP Driver Safety Program, you're eligible for a discount on your auto insurance for the next three full years. In other states it may be called the Accident Prevention or Motor Vehicle Improvement Course discount.
