You may qualify for a variety of credits and discounts that make your policy even more affordable. Here are some of the ways you could save!

Account Credit

• Insure your home and auto with the AARP Auto and Homeowners Insurance Program from The Hartford, and you’ll receive up to a 15% discount on your home insurance and an additional 10% on your auto coverage.

  (Exception: these discounts are not available in Hawaii and Massachusetts.  In New Jersey, the discount is applied to the homeowners policy only.)

   

Fire / Burglary System Credits

• By upgrading your home security, you can save up to 20% for a combination of burglar alarms and a sprinkler system.  Even dead-bolt locks and smoke detectors can save you up to 2%.  Apartment and condominium owners get an additional credit for 24-hour security guard services.

Retiree Credit

• If you and your spouse are retired or work less than 24 hours a week, you can reduce your premium.

  (The Retiree Credit does not apply to secondary residences.)
